The First Month at DMC

DMC,started operating on the 12 march 2015.the clinic is occupying three rooms one consultation room, a store and a staff room. dressing and consultation are done in the same room by the same person. since then I saw 470 patients(305 females and 165 males.).from the attendance 51 were pneumonia cases, 21 diarrial problems, 11 anaemia, 39 skin disorders, 37 hypertensive, 2 malnutrition and severe pneumonia, 2 infertility among others including few child abuse.

However the clinic needs urgent attention due to the following constraints;

1) transportation, this is important for day to day affairs of the facility and the staff affairs. darsilameh is a hard to reach area with poor road network especially in the raining season. am requesting at least a pick up car to halt this issue.

2) electricity the clinic is without any power supply we rely on the sun light. we need a solar system and a solar fridge.

3) running water is an issue we use well and local pumps.

4) examination bed

5) haemoglobin meter

6) drugs this is my main concern as we are with few drugs and without any antimalarials in a malaria endemic zone. the remaining ones cant serve us for this month.
